Alport Scouts

The 16th Sheffield (Westbourne) Scout Group own, use and manage a Scout Hut in the remote Alport Valley in the Peak District.  It has been in use for probably over 80 years, has been adapted and repaired many times ... and has seen better days.  It is a beautiful part of the world and the Scouts gain valuable life skills from visiting and using the facility.

It is the intention of the Group to replace the hut with a new, appropriate, ecologically savvy facility that will serve them for at least as long as the existing hut.

With a son with a history of involvement with the 16th Sheffield (Westbourne) Scout Group, Ian Hill is providing suggestions and support on an informal occasional basis.
