Ranmoor Hall, Sheffield

Initial appointment was as Access Consultant to undertake an access audit in order to identify the barriers to access of this existing facility used as a training facility by the Department of Work and Pensions.  The brief was to make recommendations for prioritising / enhancing accessibility, particularly the vertical circulation, on this steeply sloping site.

The significant changes in level were identified as the primary barrier to access, and Ian Hill at Stephen George and Partners was appointed to undertake an architectural feasibility study and then full architectural and access scheme design with proposed solution of lifts and enhanced circulation areas.
